DYLAN MOON 10 APPLES

Dylan Moon is gearing up for the release of his second album, Option Explore, and has given us the new single ‘10 Apples’ in support of it. It’s an explosion of colourful, experimental sound. The opening seconds are a cacophony of contrasting timbres and tones which quickly simplify into something smooth and memorable for the much more laid-back verses. His disregard of genre is one of his defining traits; this allows him to disregard transitional compositional convention. “The harmony for the fast section of ‘10 Apples’ was inspired by chord changes from the jazz guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel. I wanted it to sound a bit old but exciting.” Keep an eye out for more from Dylan Moon. -Dan Peeke
